About the author
From the time i learned to read i always had my nose struck in a book. I always wanted to write but life got in to the way. I am sure you know what i mean. You know things like eating, having a roof over your head or not having one, have a way of making you go to work and get a real job. And that’s exactly what i did. From selling an envoirenment magazine to microwave ovens from running a small printing unit to modelling, gradually to doing television and small yet important roles in films…i was basicaly going through life on auto pilot.
It wasn’t till september 11 -2001 when terrorist attacks rocked our world, when i realised how short life is. Though my own city mumbai in india had been badly serial bombed in 1993, but then i was too young to realise the gravity of it. That day when the world stood still with their eyes glued to television as they watched in horror, i decided it was time to make a change in my life. I decided to go back to my first love of story telling. I was thus inspired to write a story of a terrorist who comes from pakistan to wreck havoc in india but slowly he transforms and goes back a better human after experiencing the love and innocence of the indians. I had never planned to be a writer, but the thrice national award winning director madhur bhandarkar encouraged me and thus the film “black & white” happened. It was directed and produced by the legendry subhash ghai. The story as well as the film got a lot of critical acclaim and earned me the respect that i was searching for. This inspired me to write this book. I hope and pray that you guys like my book. Looking forward to your honest feedback.
